The Hardest Bug Is the Market — cover

As engineers we are trained to fix bugs. But there is one bug better code cannot fix: the market does not want what you built.

At WIGO, a B2B and B2C tourism ecosystem built from zero, the team built everything (mobile, web, payments, partners, analytics) but tested the product, not the market. A working product is not proof of demand.

Abadikan was built the other way round: for about six months, versions went to real buyers, the product changed on what we heard, and willingness to pay became the signal. Then the market started pulling: from digital invitations into gifting and event tech, and a client request that became an interactive catalog and a studio business.

AI did not find product–market fit. It made the loop faster: analytics in plain language, a WhatsApp support bot, and an agent that researches and scores leads. The goal is not AI everywhere, but finding where the business is slow.
